Life Size Link Papercraft by OliGig Life Size Link Papercraft by OliGig
SSBB Link papercraft. Life Size!
I upsized it by about 15cm and it's bigger than me! The whole legs and boots are rock-solid, due to expanding foam, recommended by the many on NP forums. Thanks Haywan for this awesome model.

BTW the sword and shield are somewhere else...

Hey, could you tell me which type of paper and brand do you use? How much GSM? Glossy or matte? Is it textured? Please, answer me. Thank you!

160GSM, matte, non-textured paper.

Nice work!
I've been doing some life-sized papercrafts of my own and have been wondering how to give them stability. I thought of expanding foam on my own, so I'm glad other people are recommending it - gives me some confidence to give it a try. A quick search reveals there are a few different types of foam, do you have any tips on using it?

For stabilizing the legs, I filled them with expanding insulating foam. It's really solid and not too heavy. The main tip I can give is to not over-do it or you'll risk ruining the model. Good luck!

Thanks! It's just regular insulating foam, you can probably find it in a diy store.

here's the template: [link] click download mirror 1 or 2.

here are more pictures of the finished model by the designer: [link]
there are also some videos of the model in progress.

to view the pdos you will need pepakura viewer: [link]
this is a very useful program, it lists the features on the site.

hope this helps!

hmm, do you use a mac?

pepakura can't be used on a mac. it's impossible to build this model without pepakura because of the complexity and the fact that the pages can only be printed directly from pepakura.
